About Me
My name is Sarah Boyle. At four and 3/4 years old, I wrote my first book.
I was a lot more excited about it than that face I'm making suggests. It was through one of those services where you write and illustrate a story, and they send you back a bound book.
It was about my stuffed baby named Baby, Pippi Longstocking, and Simba from the Lion King. I even wrote a bio for myself.
When my mom asked me what I wanted to name it, I said, "Jessica."
Which had nothing to do with the book.
I had named it as one would a child.
I've been writing ever since. And I have stopped illustrating; I assume you understand why.
I also have a passion for music and composition as well as mission-driven work. I've worked for multiple nonprofits, run my own Red Cross Blood Drives, and I wrote and released a song to raise money for brain cancer research in honor of my late grandfather. I am an activist as much as I am a storyteller, and I've found my sweet spot in using my creativity to help the community around me.
I previously worked as a manager and instructor at an educational creative writing nonprofit for kids. I was also a writer + editor at two local media sites as well as a content marketing manager at a tech company. I'm currently looking for new ways to have a continued positive impact on the world around me through my storytelling. I still pour myself into everything I touch as though my creations are my children, my little Jessicas.
